MAJOR CHANGE!!!!

My Dearest Family, Friends, and Followers (if there are any of you out there),
I am writing to let you know this is going to be my last post.  But don't worry I am turning over the blog to my wonderful mommy.  You will still get to read all about Mikaela's Moments but under a new name and with a new addition.  This has been in the works for about 9 months now and mommy has been telling me all about it.  The reason for the change is we have a new member in our family, her name is Addison Lynn.  I told mommy that I wanted to be the one to introduce her to you all and then she could make the changes she wanted later.
Here is the story of how my little sister arrived
Let me start from the beginning.......I was very luck to have got to spend the day with mommy and daddy.  They decided since daddy was staying home for Veteran's Day that we would spend it as a family.  We went to breakfast at Corner Bakery, went to the the Long Beach Town Center where I got to play on the playground before going to watch Megamind.  We went to mommy's doctors appointment to check on the baby and mommy took me to dance class.  From there things began to happen.  Mommy started having contraction that morning but they were very random and sporadic (Braxton Hicks she called them).  When she was sitting at the dance studio at about 6pm they started to become more regular, 5 minutes, 6 minutes, 4 minutes, 6 minutes, 3 minutes, etc.  We drove home and my choice for dinner was Jack and The Box (yes you all know I can point out fast food restaurants, hahaha). While in the drive thru the lady at the window was asking mommy how far a long she was and what her due date was and they were talking about kids.  Mommy was still having contractions while driving home and she had a very big one when we pulled into the driveway.  It was now 7:00pm, we came inside, mommy sat down her stuff got my try and blanket out for me and then needed to use the restroom.  She called for my daddy while in the restroom, her water had broke.  It just so happen that Grandma and Grandpa had just pulled up to the house with their moving truck.  Mommy got on the phone to call the doctor, Nonna and Grammy.  Her and daddy then left and I got to stay at home with Grandma and Grandpa and play till it was bedtime.  In the mean time mommy called Grammy, ChiChi, Aunt Ryann, Aunt Rachael while on her way to the hospital.   She got checked into her labor and delivery room and things began to move forward.  While at home with Grandma and Grandpa, Pa came over.  He told me that I was coming over to his house to stay the night, mommy was having the baby.  Mommy called me from the hospital and talked to me and told me I was going to be a BIG SISTER soon, so exciting!!!!!   She had also been calling Nonna to let her and Papa know what was going on.  Mommy told me that Grammy, Auntie Brittany, Chi Chi, and Aunt Rachael all got to be in the room with her when Addison was born.  At about 11:40pm Dr Bender, mommy's doctor arrived and at 11:52pm Addison came into this world.  Daddy got to deliver her just like he delivered me, what a memorable moment.  She weighed 6lbs 13oz and was 18 inches long.  Mommy said she had a very smooth, comfortable, wonderful delivery.  She did say that when Addison was born she thought it was a boy.  If you all remember correctly we didn't know what the baby's gender was, so the first thing mommy and daddy were trying to see was if it was a boy or girl.  Well mommy shouted out the wrong thing and then the nurse corrected her a few seconds later.  She said the laughter in the room carried out into the hall and become a story to tell around the hospital.  It's moments like that, that make the story even more memorable.
Well like I said this will be my last post because I am turning over all the narration to my mommy so that we can share with you the moments and adventures of me and my new baby sister Addison.
Lots of love to all of you that read Mikaela's Moments,
Mikaela Shea
